GTA 6 will launch May 26, 2026 on Xbox Series X and PS5

The game was postponed until 2026 after this was made public on May 2, 2025. We will need to wait for further information. An ex-Rockstar developer has provided an explanation for why GTA 6 will not be released on PC at launch. “This material is really complex.”

It is interesting to note that GTA 6 will be able to utilize the additional power the PS5 Pro offers at launch. Although it has not been announced yet, Sony’s most powerful console might be the greatest spot to play Grand Theft Auto 6 unless Xbox releases a rival. We anticipate that GTA 6 will be updated on the PS5, but we will have to wait and see what Rockstar has to say.

Regarding when a PC port will be available, GTA 6 may not be a long wait. Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, stated as much in a recent interview with IGN:

“Zelnick was asked if the absence of a PC release is an error considering the platform’s popularity in an interview with IGN before to the company’s most recent financial performance.
